John Cameron
A former pro hockey player and amateur botanist, Mr. Cameron has been with boys since 1970 when he exchanged his high lottery number for the army draft with Joel’s low one. John served two tours in Vietnam and earned a silver star while, stateside, Joel had sex with many many women.
Robert Graf
Bob started as a craft service production assistant on Joel and Ethan’s only documentary “Syphilis: A Stranger in my Bed” in the late nineties. His Herculean ability to supply m&m;’s during those long arctic nights earned him a spot on team Coen.
J. Todd Anderson
If Ethan had to pick one person to call a friend it would be J. Todd. It all started with a bar bet involving cocktail weenies and Golden Eagle vodka, but two hours and a hospital visit later, they were thick as thieves and have been ever since.
Roger Deakins
Roger is not American. He’s some sort of foreigner Basque, I think.
Mary Zophres
Aside from her vast expertise in phrenology, Mary provides an invaluable service to the Coen film family with her costume design. Every time you see someone wearing clothing in one of their movies, that Mary’s work!
Jean Black
This femme fatal can make any person old, sickly or sad, but enough about her personality, she’s also one hell of a make-up gal.
Dennis Gassner
In designing all the sets for the movies, Mr. Gassner utilizes his two passions: Asian erotic art and plywood.
Betsy Magruder
A distant relation to the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Betsy started her career as an actress starring in such films Day of the Aztecs, The Crying Sun and Where’s Daddy, Hershel? Looking for a new challenge America’s sweetheart moved behind the camera in 1991 as an assistant director. She meet the boys at a beach party given by Reese Witherspoon’s father and has held court for them ever since.
Jery Hewitt
Jery started out as Frank Sinatra’s stunt double in 1980’s The First Deadly Sin. Actually, he and Frank looked so much alike that Mr. Sinatra hired him to make personal appearances that Frank deemed too “rope a dope dumb” to attend himself. After Frank’s death in 1998 Jery returned to stunt work.
Skip Lievsay
Living underground for most of the eighties, though no one is sure why, Mr. Lievsay took the sound mix world by storm in 1988 with is wild eyes and practical fashion sense. Aside from all of Joel and Ethan’s movies he has worked on such films as Newsies, Hanover Street and newly released Dude, Where’s my Pancreas?
Peter Kurland
Wearing his trademark suspenders, Peter cuts a deadly foreboding jib around others. He has evoked so much fear on the set that on several occasions actors have refuse to leave their trailers until he “stops with the eye thing.”
Tricia Cooke
Sweet young Trish comes to us from the magical world of animation. As a creative assistant on Steven Spielberg’s Animaniacs she was responsible for the darker, more overtly anti-Semitic tone of the show’s third and final season.
Karen Anonia
Around the set she’s called Big Red, not because of her auburn hair or cute freckles, but because she sets fires.
David Diliberto
Yes, Dave Diliberto.
Karen Ruth Getchel
Karen is proof positive that a person can turn their life around. She was able to use her learned “people” skills to her advantage in the film industry. Never one to “blow” an advantage, she is always willing to “bend over” backwards for anyone. Her “service” has been invaluable to the crew and is willing to do whatever it takes to get a “head.”
Scott Rudner
Scott doesn’t really work on the films much, but he’s Karen Ruth’s husband and he’s a cool guy so I thought I’d mention him. He’s a great storyteller, mostly because all his stories involve his pants being missing.
Melinda Sue Gordon
Now considered the top still photographer in her field, this little firecracker is a former professional wrestler, who performed under the names “Electric Pain” and “Madame Hurt.”
Carter Burwell
Mr. Burwell is one of only three convicted felons currently employed by the firm. Aside from a few unfortunate episodes early on, Carter has shown remarkable restraint while providing quality score music.
Ellen Chenoweth
After leaving the seminary in 1987, Mrs. Chenoweth bumped from job to job until her ability to judge people merely on their appearance led her to a successful career in casting.
Jonathan McGarry
Called “Lighting Joe” on the set for no apparent reason, Jonathan is known as a rock to the rest of the crew. Not because he is a stoic and dependable man, but because he has no legs.
T-Bone Burnett
In addition to working for Zoss productions, Mr. Burnett has produced such bands as Smothering Monica, Satan’s Grandkids, Poot and The Amazing Fabtabulous Bootenski Brothers.
Alan Schoolcraft
Ex-President of Operations and perhaps the sexiest man alive.
Neil Stelzner
2nd sexiest man alive..
Julie Carideo
“Jules” hales from the great city of Las Vegas, but she’s not easy. When not supervising the productions she spends her spare time helping deaf children with beauty tips.
